Lauren Kata, MA, CA has over 10 years experience with oral history and archives. She is a past chair of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) Oral History Section, and a member of the Academy of Certified Archivists and the Oral History Association. She holds a BA in American Studies and History from Case Western Reserve University (1999), and she earned her MA in History and a Graduate Certificate in Archival Administration from Wayne State University (2002). Her professional interests include preserving digital oral history, and the development of a standard oral history metadata core. Lauren currently serves as the Archivist for Collections Management and Digital Access for the national Archives of the Episcopal Church, in Austin, Texas.
