Dr. Clifford Choy received his BEng (Hons) and PhD from the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in 1992 and 1998 respectively. From mid 1997 till end of 1999, he worked in a local software company in developing mission critical business applications and Internet applications for companies, including leading the reengineering project of payroll system for HACTL. He started working in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since January 2000, and he is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Design, teaching design process, interaction design, physical computing and computer game development. His research focuses on design knowledge management, creativity support, knowledge representation and maker culture. He was the director of the first featured Maker Faire Hong Kong in 2015, and is currently directing the upcoming one in Feb.
