What is a mentor:
A mentor program has already started to provide guidance and feedback by corresponding directly with the students. Each year, a representative from Evergreen will go to the site and place the scholarships directly in "students' hand."
What is our policy (Part of the agreement in pledge form):
As the students mentor, You shall correspond with the assigned student(s) no less than 2 times during the year. At the end of the year, You shall provided a report of the student progress to Evergreen and alert the program director at Evergreen of any development concerning the student that You deem significant.
The purpose of mentorship is to provide guidance appropriate for a student interested in character development and academic achievement. You agree to avoid any discussion of a political or religious nature.
As the students mentor, You will not enter into any financial transaction(s) or sponsorship agreement(s) with the student.
