We are thrilled to welcome two exceptional individuals to our Board of Directors: Ms. Susan Wong and Ms. Yu Zhang. Their diverse expertise and dedication will bring invaluable insights to our organization.

Ms. Susan Wong brings over 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation. A founding member of EEF and former EEF Treasurer/CFO until 2011, she has worked across both public accounting and private industry sectors. Her career spans roles in Big 4 accounting firms and local CPA firms, with deep expertise in international tax compliance, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and an M.S. in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, Ms. Wong is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.

Ms. Yu Zhang has been deeply involved in EEF since 2008, focusing on library services in underdeveloped areas and student research literacy. Ms. Zhang has been an integral part of EEF small projects and she was the main EEF point of contact in China. Since 2017, she has championed projects that encourage secondary school students to explore local history and culture through oral history, fostering research skills and life lessons. With a passion for documenting and understanding personal histories, she is committed to broadening oral history’s role in education and public service. Prior to her non-profit work, Ms. Zhang spent ten years in the computer industry and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Cornell University.
