External Cases:(small) Riverton Memoirs: The River County (Kentucky) library organizes a facilitated writing program for adults resulting in a published anthology. (small) Poetry Express: Pinion Creek Middle School’s library hosts a monthly poetry slam to encourage students to voice their creativity. (small) We Read! Summer Program: The Springfield Library establishes a summer reading program to develop a habit of reading among elementary school children. (med) Whitney Library Information Commons: To improve learning in collaborative projects, an academic Library establishes an Information Commons pilot program. (large) West Dakota Library Rx: The West Dakota State Library provides reliable online health information and training for librarians statewide to empower residents to make informed health choices.‘
EEF Cases:Cultivation Techniques for Crops and Vegetables: The biology teachers of Gansu Tongwei Maying High School use library resources to provide a school-based curriculum to teach students about cultivation techniques of local crops/vegetables. I am an Edit-in-chief: YunNan Shidian No. 2 High School library set up classroom book corners for students’ free reading, also select excellent reading essay collections written by the students and enter them into school library’s collection for circulation. Rural Information Technology Training: TianZhu No. 1 High School collaborates with 6 primary/middle schools in 4 agricultural areas nearby to train local farmers to use information technology to acquire information for livelihoods and life. Evergreen Information Literacy Workshop 2011: We plan and present an interactive information literacy workshop at the 2011 Evergreen Workshop in Huai’An, to enhance understanding and demonstrated competence in skills related to information literacy of the librarians, teachers, and administrative personnel of EEF schools and libraries. Evergreen OBPE (Outcomes-based Planning & Evaluation) Workshop 2011: We plan and present an interactive OBPE workshop at the 2011 Evergreen Workshop in Huai’An, to enhance understanding and demonstrated competence in skills related to project planning, building, and evaluation. |
